I so get this I’m always thinking I should be on social media at the same time as Substack it didn’t work so I stopped and now concentrate on Substack alone, at least till I have a solid foundation.

I think that’s the right approach, Sean.

Believe me, even I am resisting the urge to write and create content on other platforms.

A solid foundation on one platform is worth far more than a weak presence on five. Once you’ve built an audience and a repeatable system, expanding becomes much easier.

You’re not missing out, you’re building something that lasts.

I needed this reminder today.

It’s easy to think being everywhere means you’re making progress, but sometimes it only spreads you too thin. I’m learning to focus on one platform, build meaningful relationships, and trust the process instead of chasing every opportunity.

Thank you for sharing this. It gave me clarity. 🩷

Focusing can feel like you’re doing less, but it’s often how you end up achieving more.

I’m so glad it resonated with you, Florence 😊

This article speaks to something I have been going through myself recently. The big question I find myself asking is how to leave the other platforms🧐

I think the bigger question is when to enter the other platforms. For example if you’re below 1000 subscribers on Substack I wouldn’t recommend going on another platform.

So probably when you have over a 1000+ subscribers then it maybe a good opportunity.

I appreciate this so much. You've outlined every reason so well.

My largest audience, by far, was on Tiktok. I somewhat regret not writing hard to convert them over here.

I still go Live here. But the Busker Spotlight and the Dopamine Infusion are not prominent.

I'm a writer and poet, first and foremost. That felt pushed aside on Tiktok. I wonder how to reconcile it all!

Thanks for listening.

Merry meet. 🔮

I really felt this. It sounds like TikTok gave you reach, but not always the space to be the writer you wanted to be.

Maybe the answer isn’t choosing one over the other, but letting each platform play a different role. Let TikTok help people discover you, and let your writing be where they truly get to know you.

I’m glad you’re staying true to the writer and poet first. I think that’s what people will remember most.

Beautiful thoughts! Honestly.

I certainly let Tiktok get her time in the sun.

Meeting my goals there was a good topic to write about in a past Post.

Maybe I need to pull Tarot Cards to help determine where I can best repurpose my content. Or how I should. 🔮
